Taylor Swift & Def Leppard - CMT Crossroads

CMT Crossroads with Taylor Swift and Def Leppard premiered last night. I have the whole thing recorded and while I try and find the time to encode the video, I've gone ahead and coaxed out the audio. The files are near CDQ MP3s. I put everything together as an album. I stole the cover up there from CMT.com lol. The final 2 songs, Should've Said No and Pour Some Sugar On Me were performed together so I left them as one file.

Taylor Swift - Photograph (with Def Leppard)

Taylor Swift put on a special concert with Def Leppard for CMT's Crossroads series where they pair a country singer with a musical act from another genre. Taylor actually called up the Def Leppard crew herself to ask them if they wanted to do it. The full show will air on November 7th (and I'm planning on putting it up here) but a music video was made of one of the songs, "Photograph," to promote it. Here is that music video, formatted for the iPod Touch and iPhone, but it should work on any iPod that supports video, and it also looks quite good on your computer. That's a capture from it up there (click it to see full size). I also uploaded just the song.

Taylor Swift - White Horse

After a long hiatus (Latin for "period of laziness") I'm back with what you could call an exclusive. Last Thursday, a new Taylor Swift song, "White Horse," was played during Grey's Anatomy. Now they ruined it by talking all over it with some sappy storyline or something (it's physically impossible for me to focus on the story in any given episode of GA). Luckily, some benevolent, caring internet pirates put up a version of the episode with 5.1 surround audio. That means separate dialog and music tracks! After some poking and prodding and at least one kick to my hard drive, I got a version of the song completely devoid of anyone from the show talking. There's just a hint of sound effects in the background. Enjoy!

Madonna - 4 Minutes (ft. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland)

Full, CDQ, no DJ, album version, totally awesome. Download away.

P.S. That's the official single cover up there. Cheap lookin, ain't it?

Madonna - 4 Minutes (ft. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland)

God bless French radio. And let's hope they are even more generous in the coming hours. It turns out a French radio station played the new single off of Madonna's next studio album, titled "Hard Candy." I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say they weren't supposed too. The release date for the single that I've heard is late March, which I'm hoping we can kiss good bye now. The album comes out April 29th and features production by Timbaland and Pharrell and supposedly a guest rap by Kanye West. The video for this song has apparently been filmed, with Madonna and Timberlake playing superheroes, from the original title of the song "4 Minutes to Save The World". I cannot wait.

P.S. I messed around with the EQ in Audacity and got it to sound a little better, plus I cut out some of the DJ at the beginning. I included both versions just incase.

Lloyd - How We Do (Around My Way) (ft. Ludacris)

Deja vu. I just posted a version of this song. Apparently what I posted before was either an early or hype version of the track as this new version is straight from the official CD single. After listening to it a little more, I now love this song. I don't know if it's just a one-off or it's a single. I hoping it's the latter.

Lloyd - Can't Get Over You

And the Good Lord hast given us 2 new Lloyd tracks in one week! A snippet of this leaked out a while ago, but it wasn't the best quality and had a DJ talking over it. This is full, CD quality and without a DJ to be heard. Good song too.

Mario - Love

New Mario track named "Love." This is a new song, completely different from "My Love" which leaked a couple months ago and supposedly featured Usher. A dollar and a chewy Chips-Ahoy to however can find Usher in that by the way. This is a decent mid-tempo song.

Usher - In This Club (ft. Young Jeezy)

Yet another Usher song has leaked out. This one isn't all that good either, in my opinion. I sure hope these were just songs he made while fooling around in the studio and aren't indications of what his album will be like.

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean 2008 (with Kanye West)

The full album leaked last night and of course the only songs I care about are the new ones. Most of them leaked by way of bad internet streams, so it was nice to hear CDQ versions of them. The remixes are quite good, but none of them manage to outshine their originals. My favorite, no surprise, is the Kanye remix of Billie Jean. As a bonus I posted the other remixes from the album (The Girl is Mine is a little bit down the page).

Mario - Me and My Girl

This is a new Mario track. It seems like every track he recorded for Go is trying to leak (ditto for Chris Brown and Exclusive). It has an annoying DJ presence, but the song is a pretty good slow jam. And besides, I'm a big Mario fan, so any new music by him is good to here.

Michael Jackson - The Girl Is Mine 2008 (ft. Will.i.am)

There was a bad internet rip of this floating around, but the European CDM of it leaked today. This is a remix done for the 25th anniversary rerelease of Thriller, aptly titled Thriller 25 (that's the cover for it up there). It's due in stores in February with additional remixes from Kanye West (Billie Jean), Akon, and Fergie (Beat It). The remix is surprisingly decent. To quote a review of "Damn Girl" by Justin Timberlake, produced by Will.i.am: "It's produced by Will.i.am. And he raps on it. And it doesn't suck!"

Ryan Leslie - R U Coming Back

This is a newish track from Ryan Leslie. It's a typical spartan production from R-Les, but with a deliciously modulated vocal track for the chorus. If you've ever thought, "I like R-Les, but I wish he sounded more like a robot, like that T-Pain fellow," than this is your lucky day! Plus this was an excellent excuse to post a picture of Cassie.

Lloyd - New Music

Yes, I'm a lazy bastard and am terrible/suck at life. I know. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here's some new music by Lloyd. Two new full length songs and a "ft." on a remix for Sammie. I like all three songs and would recommend a download for Lloyd fans.
